Community Program Coordinator

The Community Program Coordinator will oversee and coordinate each section of the service areas; communicate and report to the Executive Director on all ongoing matters held at the center and ensure the right direction of the timely program development, deliverable implementation, and fine improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (required)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, multitask skills, detail-oriented, team player and self-starter attitude, and well-organized working habit
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms)
  • Can communicate or fluently speak Mandarin (preferred, but not required)

Community Health Coordinator

The Community Health Coordinator is expecting to provide management on the implementation, design, education, and training of all sponsored programs within center operations by complying with health regulations, community partners, and government granting agencies in assigned areas based on members’ needs. This position supports other paralleled health programs operated in the Service Centers and grants writing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (required)
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in health-related fields; working experience in public/community health (preferred, but not required)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, multitask skills, detail-oriented, team player and self-starter attitude, and well-organized working habit
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms)
  • Can communicate or fluently speak Mandarin (preferred, but not required)

About the ACA Immersion Internship Program

The ACA Immersion Internship Program was created to empower the next generation of Asian Pacific American (APA) youths in Michigan. The program entails internships for high school juniors and seniors, and college students from accredited universities. We hope to provide skills and experiences that are applicable to future endeavors. As an organization that has been around almost five decades, we recognize the importance of educating our youth and providing opportunities that will expose our future generation to the potential they have. Through our internship program, we hope to foster future leaders who will challenge the status quo, advocate for APAs and other marginalized communities, and fight racism and hate. Program Dates: May to August 2022

Eligibility – College Students

  • Enrolled as a student at an accredited university 
  • Minimum 10 weeks with 36 hours weekly
  • Stable internet
  • Reliable Transportation
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA requirement on a 4.0 scale
  • Identify as an APA or have a strong interest in the APA community
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Fluency in an Asian language (desired, not required)

Benefits – College Students

  • $750 stipend upon completion of the internship
  • Professional work experience in a nonprofit 
  • Leadership development and networking opportunities

  • Minimum 10 weeks with 15 to 20 hours weekly
  • Stable internet
  • Reliable Transportation
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA requirement on a 4.0 scale
  • Identify as an APA or have a strong interest in the APA community
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Fluency in an Asian language (desired, not required)
