DESCRIPTION:合唱基础技巧 \nchoir basic \nSpeaker: Jie Wang \nSoprano Jie Wang was trained in Virtuosity at the Conservatory of Lausanne\, Switzerland. She has over thirty years of teaching experience. Her repertoire ranges from operatic arias\, oratorio\, sacred music\, folksongs\, classical and artistic songs of Italy\, Germany\, France\, and China. She played roles in operas such as “The Marriage of Figaro”\, “Turandot”\, and “Carmen”. She has been invited as a guest singer and held solo concerts on numerous occasions\, and widely recognized for her artistic rendition and stage captivation. She participated in writing the book “Vocal Music Course”\, published by the People’s Music Press\, Beijing\, in 1996. She was invited to play as Madam Qianxiong Wu in opera “Headstrong” at the Ford House in 2016. She performed at the DSO Max M Fisher Music Center with the University Orchestra in 2016. Over the years\, she directed an adult Choir “The Sound of Spring”\, Children’s Choir\, and Seniors’ Choir for the community. She held a voice recital “East & West” at the University of Michigan\, Feb 3rd\, 2018. She led a fundraising concert for the American Chinese Association\, Dec 4th\, 2018. She is the member of the Tuesday Musicale. She currently serves as the Board of Director\, Cranbrook Music Guild.
