In addition\, an informational video on health-related topics was created and a COVID-19 panel discussion with the MDHHS was conducted to keep the committee updated for any recent developments.  We would like to invite you to join us as the committee is entering the next phase of organizing local volunteers to provide essential help to the needy\, especially seniors\, people with underlying health issues and youth. The ACA staff will be organizing a community assistance group that will provide various activities and services to meet the needs of the elder and elementary students. SUMMARY:Digital Inclusion Program
DESCRIPTION:This will be the 8th year in which the Association of Chinese Americans (ACA) is partnering with Comcast to offer the Digital Inclusion program to children ages 13-17. The program’s goal is to have students become proficient in digital literacy\, financial literacy and have a firm foundation of essential life skills. \nThis year\, the program will have two on-site locations at the Chinese Community Center (CCC) in Madison Heights and the Summit on the Park in Canton with the majority of the classes being taught online through Zoom. Classes will be taught on Sundays from 1 pm – 4 pm (time subject to change) and the tentative start date is Sunday\, December 1st.  \nThe program will run throughout the school year and will end in May 2020 with the tentative graduation day on Sunday\, June 7th\, 2020.
