5th Chinese Cuisine Cooking Contest

Teams of four cooks will prepare dishes for the panel of judges and audience to vote for. The teams will have 120 minutes to prepare and cook four dishes: one main dish (rice or noodle) Chinese style; one specialty dish (in a Chinese local tradition); one dessert Chinese style; and one dish with the secret ingredient which will be announced at the start of the contest.
Preparations and cooking starts at 3pm and the tasting & voting is at 5pm. This free event is sponsored by the Confucius Institute at Wayne State University and the Association of Chinese Americans (ACA). Come to watch the excitement and fun as the teams cook and stay to cast your vote for your favorite dish or team.
