ACA 48th Anniversary Gala
Madison Heights, Michigan – The Association of Chinese Americans, Inc. (ACA) is proud to announce the organization’s 48th Anniversary Gala to be held virtually on Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm on Zoom.
The Anniversary Gala is ACA’s signature annual gathering to celebrate the year’s accomplishments and refuel to strive for future success. It is a virtual celebratory featuring state and city officials, cultural performances, and recognition of our outstanding community partners and sponsors. It is also an opportunity for the community, supporters, and friends with an interest in working together to give back to our community in the areas of education, healthcare and cultural development. ACA demonstrates the power of collaboration and support to help engage people from our communities in the Metro Detroit area.
WHAT MAKES THIS GALA CELEBRATION TRULY SPECIAL?
The event will be a celebration of the contributions Asian Pacific Americans have made to people in the State of Michigan during this pandemic. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and the difficult time we are currently facing, it is more important than ever to acknowledge our community members for their perseverance, resilience and hardwork. The theme of our Gala is “Honoring Our Heroes – Courage Across Communities” and we would like to recognize community members who have worked tirelessly since March to bring relief and remedy to those adversely affected by this virus.
As this year’s circumstances are different, we will still meet new and old friends, colleagues, state and city officials, and community leaders in a renewed spirit of collaboration and community service.

密西根美华协会将于2020年10月24日星期六下午2至3点半通过Zoom举行48周年庆典活动。
周年庆典是美华协会的标志性年度盛会，旨在庆祝今年所取得的成就，并展望未来。这是一个庆祝晚会，将齐聚州，市政府官员，社区参与者和支持者共襄盛举。借此对我们杰出的社区合作伙伴和赞助商表示感谢与认可。对于有兴趣共同努力在教育，医疗保健和文化发展领域回馈社区的伙伴，支持者和朋友来说，这也将是一个难得的相互交流的机会。
今年的美华周年庆典活动的特别之处：
今年，我们将通过线上方式和社区朋友共同庆祝，活动主题是“表彰我们的英雄 – 跨越社区的勇气”。美华协会将特别感谢和表彰从2020年三月新冠疫情爆发以来一直与疫情作斗争， 为社区无私奉献的社区英雄们。在当前新冠疫情的困难时期， 我们比以往更加能感受到社区英雄们对社区的支持。他们的执著，坚韧，辛勤工作的精神无时无刻不在鼓励着我们。
今年是特别的一年，我们遇到了很多前所未有的挑战。美华协会希望通过线上的方式与新老朋友，州市政府官员，社区领袖们一同分享交流社区合作和服务理念与精神，大家互相激励，共同为社区的发展而努力。
