APA Y-Advocate Training

APA Y-Advocate is a half-day interactive training for Asian Pacific American high school youth to cultivate the next generation of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) leaders. Attendees will engage in activities that will help them develop leadership skills, discuss the importance of advocacy, and investigate concepts surrounding AAPI identity.

We are hosting an APA Y-Advocate session in Madison Heights, MI on Saturday, March 21, 2020. This event is free and open to all high school students. Breakfast and lunch are provided. Though it is free, you must be registered in order to participate in this program. To register, please follow the steps below:

Complete and submit the registration form: https://www.ocanational.org/apay-detroit

If you are 17 or under, please have your parent/guardian complete the last section of the registration form (Media Release Waiver). For the question “Are you 18 years old or older,” when you select “No,” new questions will appear for your parent/guardian to fill out.

For any questions, please contact Kent Tong at kent.tong@ocanational.org.
