Asian Anti-violence Community Discussion Meeting

February 23, 2019 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

On February 23, Saturday, from 3PM to 5PM, ACA will hold the first Asian anti-violence community discussion meeting at Chinese Community Center. The event will be supported by the Healthy Asian American Program at the Eastern Michigan University. The main purpose of this community discussion meeting is to understand the domestic violence, abuse, etc. of the Asian community and conduct a certain degree of investigation. This will further benefit and develop the Asian community mental health services and humanities services.

ACA is planning to recruit about 10-15 volunteers, especially those who are or have suffered from domestic violence, bullying, abuse, cold violence, and limited life or financial freedom, to participate this meeting. At the same time, this seminar also welcomes enthusiastic volunteers who know or know that their friends are suffering from domestic violence. This discussion will be conducted anonymously and the discussion will not have any impact on the current family situation. In addition, all participants will receive a cash gift card for their volunteering efforts.

For registration and more details, please contact: Kaikai Chen, Program Manager for Community Health, at 248-585-9343.
