B3 Leadership Summit
September 22, 2018 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
The Association of Chinese Americans (ACA) is proud to announce the third edition of B3 Leadership Summit: “Explore, Engage, and Execute – the Ingredients for Professional and Personal Success“ which will be held on Saturday, September 22nd from 12pm to 4pm at Oakland University. The program is co-hosted by OCA National and its Detroit Chapter-Association of Chinese Americans (ACA). The OCA-Asian Pacific American Advocates is a national non-profit organization of community advocates dedicated to advancing the political, social, and economic well-being of Asian Pacific Americans (APAs) in the United States. We are also honored to invite Oakland University to become a part of our 2018 B3 Leadership Summit through the China Club and Chinese Honor Society.
Launched in 2009, B3: Build, Breakthrough & Believe is a professional and leadership development program for aspiring Asian Pacific American (APA) professionals interested in taking their personal and professional goals to the next level through leadership development and networking. The goal of this program is to provide relevant information to the APA community, professional development, peer networking and mentoring to aspiring APA professionals.
The format of the workshop includes an inspirational presentation with two thought-starters, a panel with four speakers and a moderator, and a guided group discussions followed by a question and answer session by members of the audience. We are proud to introduce you to our theme and esteemed speakers’ team for the workshop:

What are the “ingredients” for professional and personal success?
- First, explore passions and strengths to determine career goals, and through analysis of the supply and demand of the marketplace, design a strong career plan.
- Second, engage a network of human resources, such as mentors and collaborators who will help to break through the hurdles of identifying supportive and necessary resources.
- Third, execute a career plan through utilization of product and market research, procurement of resources, and effective networking.
