ESL Classes at the Detroit Service Center

ACA’s Detroit Service Center offers a free ESL class every Tuesday from 10:30am-12:00pm.
Stanley Mosley, a long time ACA volunteer, known as Mo Lao-shi (莫老师) to his students, teaches the class using Chinese and English. The class emphasizes basic, conversational English and employs a variety of fun and varied topics to stimulate discussion and encourage in-class practice. Topics covered thus far in 2018 have included visiting the doctor, international travel, and dreams! Mr. Mosley gears his teaching especially to the seniors who frequent the center, but any and all age groups are welcome! The class goal is to expose students to new words and phrases that are useful for every-day life.

Additionally, Chinese hot lunch is available after class each week. Over 60 years old: $3 ; Under 60 years old: $4.
