On Thanksgiving weekend, we hosted our 2024 Thanksgiving Appreciation x President’s Volunteer Service Awards (PVSA) Ceremony at the Berman Center for the Performing Arts, honoring the remarkable contributions of our volunteers. This year, 23 awardees received recognition for their dedication and service: 11 Bronze, 4 Silver, and 8 Gold awardees, collectively contributing over 3,000 volunteer hours to our community.
We were honored to have our President, Mr. Richard Mui, and Vice President, Ms. Ellen Zhu, joined by distinguished guests Oakland County Commissioner Ann Erickson Gault, 43rd District Court Judge Brian Hartwell, and Troy City Council Member Hirak Chande, who presented the awards and shared inspiring words of encouragement.
Our volunteers have made meaningful contributions across various initiatives, including promoting cultural awareness, supporting community beautification, enhancing education programs, advancing health initiatives, and ensuring the success of our general operations and programs.
Following the awards ceremony, we were treated to an enchanting Harmony Horizons concert by the Academy for Oriental Music and Dance Arts. This musical journey bridging East and West added a vibrant and heartfelt finale to an unforgettable evening.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our volunteers and supporters for making this event a success and for their unwavering commitment to the community.
