Summer Camp 2025 – Week 2

Week 2

The second week of camp was filled with many fun activities! The campers started the week with an exciting trip to the St. Clair Metropark Waterpark, where they raced down water slides and navigated obstacle courses, creating unforgettable memories.

This week the Youth group had so much fun at camp! They continued with their various activities like learning Chinese, cooking, and crafts. The campers especially loved designing their very own paper airplanes, testing them out with friendly competitions to see whose could fly the farthest. They also danced with to the cheerful song “Little Flower” by 优秀少年好好 (Xiùyòu Shàonián Hǎohao), filling the room with joy and lively beats.

Junior 1 had so much fun staying active through lessons , outdoor field games, and more. Gloomy days could not stop the campers from having fun as they still had a blast playing Sharks & Minnows, What Time is it Mr. Fox?, and other field games. In addition, the kids learned yummy cooking recipes and continued practicing “Love” by The Little Tigers in preparation for the much-anticipated end-of-camp performance. Each age group competes to be the loudest, yet accurate singers, and Junior 1 definitely put their best foot forward.

The Junior 2 and Senior groups also participated in the cooking class, which included making rice balls, with both a sweet and savory filling. The girls also started learning the fan dance to the song “Upwards to the Moon” by Sa Dingding. They had an amazing time learning to flutter their fans and mastering the choreography. All groups experienced the thrill of Kung Fu for the first time under the expert guidance of  Mr. Will, mastering new skills and techniques. Mr. Will also shared his wonderful knowledge and gave our campers a few words of advice to navigate healthy foods and have a balanced diet. As we head into the 3rd week of camp, the campers continue to eagerly await the future adventures, friendships, and experiences to come!
