A Steady Home in a Changing World
Open House & Reunion Celebration Set for Saturday, September 6, 2025
Madison Heights, MI — [June 18, 2025] — The Association of Chinese Americans (ACA) is proud to announce the 20th Anniversary Celebration of its Chinese Community Center (CCC)—“20 Years of Anchoring, A Steady Home in a Changing World.” Since opening its doors in August 2005, the CCC has been a beloved and welcoming home for the Metro Detroit community.
To mark this milestone, ACA invites donors, friends, and community members to an Open House & Community Reunion on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 32585 Concord Drive, Madison Heights, MI 48071. The celebration will run from 10:00AM – 2:00PM, and will feature live remarks, cultural performances, interactive exhibits, and a special tree-planting ceremony to symbolize hope, growth, and enduring community support.
The CCC’s legacy is made possible thanks to the vision and generosity of early supporters, especially Mason and Grace Yu, Helen and Clyde Wu, and the Ford Motor Company Fund (Ford Foundation). Their generosity helped turn the dream of a permanent gathering place for our community into a reality.
For 20 years, the CCC has anchored our community—serving as a hub for cultural exchange, senior services, youth programs, language education, and civic engagement. The Open House will offer a walk through the center’s rich history, chances to reconnect with friends old and new, and opportunities to dream together about the future.
“We are thrilled to welcome back our friends, participants, volunteers, donors, and supporters,” said Peggy Du, Executive Director of ACA. “This anniversary is not just a reflection on the past 20 years—it’s a celebration of the relationships and shared values that continue to move us forward.”
The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
