Townhall Meeting on the Affordable Care Act

The Association of Chinese Americans (ACA), the Michigan Asian Pacific American Affairs Commission (MAPACC), and Healthy Asian Americans Project are presenting this interactive town hall meeting on the Affordable Care Act. Officials from the Michigan Department of Community Health will give a presentation on this health care and health inssurance issue. There will also be a question and answer period.

This meeting will cover such questions as:

   – What is the minimum coverage provision?

   – If I do not get health insurance, is there a penalty?

   – What happens if my family and I are covered by Medicaid or Medicare?

   – Will my parents (ne immigrants with sponsored green cards) be covered?
