42nd ACA High School/College Scholarships
The Association of Chinese Americans (ACA) is now accepting applications for this year’s scholarship program! This program aims to honor and support outstanding local youth. This year, we will award 17 scholarships to high school students and 6 scholarships to college students.
Class of 2025/2026 High School Scholarship List
To apply:
- You must be a senior graduating in 2026
- Reside in Michigan
- Interested in serving the APIA community or are APIA American
- Have a minimum of 3.5 GPA or better on a scale of 4.0 or equivalent for most of the (but not all) scholarships
- Standard test scores (ACT/SAT/PSAT) are highly encouraged
- Provide detailed information for scholarships requesting specific criteria
- Fill out the online application to the best of your ability and submit by 9/8/2025
- Submit transcript by your school counselor by 9/10/2025

Lilian Siak Memorial Scholarship

Amount: $1,500 ($500 matched by Dr. Tai Chan)
Criteria: Achieved excellent academic result with preferably a 3.5 GPA on a scale of 4.0 or equivalent (exceptions may be granted on a case-by-case basis) with demonstration of passion in community services and pursue studies in Liberal Arts majors. Candidates with outstanding performance in mathematics can also be considered.

Page Toyota and Page Honda Bloomfield Scholarships

Brass Music Achievement (One of Page Toyota and Page Honda Bloomfield Scholarships)
Criteria: Achieved excellent academic result with preferably a 3.5 GPA on a scale of 4.0 or equivalent (exceptions may be granted on a case-by-case basis) while demonstrating exceptional talent, dedication, and achievement in playing brass instruments (e.g., trumpet, trombone, French horn, euphonium, tuba).
STEM, AI and Technology Achievement for All Ethnic Backgrounds (One of Page Toyota and Page Honda Bloomfield Scholarships)
Criteria: Demonstrated excellent academic performance, preferably with a GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale (exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis), along with notable achievements in STEM, AI, or technology-related fields. This scholarship is open to applicants of all ethnic backgrounds.
Dr. Chin-Shuh Chen Memorial Scholarship
Number of Scholarship: 1
Amount: $1,000 each
Multi-Year Scholarship
Tom Hing and Kuen Kuen Yee Memorial Multi-Year Scholarship (1)
Amount: $3,000 annual scholarship for a maximum of 4 years
Criteria: Financial need, pursuit of teaching and education (priorities), or other liberal arts studies. Minimum GPA of 3.5 (on 4 scale), Community service.
Continuation of these scholarships, for up to a maximum of four years, will be contingent upon maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and in the intended field of study.

Application and Supporting Documents:
- Online application form which includes basic information, a personal statement, work experience and community involvement.
- Two (2) letters of recommendation provided by faculty members or supervisors
- Official transcripts
- Documented history of receiving need-based financial aid
- A 15-minute interview (Virtual via Zoom in early-October)
- Proof of Michigan residency for applicants attending non-Michigan schools
- All supporting materials should be submitted electronically.
