President’s Volunteer Service Award: Oct. 1, 2021 – Sep. 30, 2022.

The Association of Chinese Americans (ACA) is honored to be approved as an Official Certifying Organization for the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA). The PVSA is the premier volunteer awards program, encouraging citizens to live a life of service through presidential gratitude and national recognition.

ACA’s programs and services are made possible only through the dedicated hard work of countless volunteers. Thus, we would like to express heartfelt thanks for another year of volunteer support. We encourage our volunteers to apply for the President’s Volunteer Service Award. Qualifying volunteers will be honored officially at our Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon in November, 2022, at the Chinese Community Center.

In order to have us apply for you, you will need to at least volunteer 25% of your total hours at ACA events. Once you have met the requirements, you will need to apply to the PVSA and upload your verified hours here by Friday, September 30, 2022, 4:00 p.m. (EST). Your hours can be verified through the means of signed community service hour logs or an e-mail from the person in charge. Once confirmed, you will receive an invitation to attend the Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon.

ACA PVSA Awards Rules

1. Recipients must be United States citizens or lawfully admitted permanent residents of the United States.
2. Awards are issued for service hours served within this 12-month time period, October 1, 2021-September 30, 2022.
3. Awards are given for volunteer service only and must be approved by ACA.

Awards and Service Hours Required for Age Groups

密西根美华协会（美华）很荣幸被批准为总统志愿者服务奖的官方认证组织。总统志愿者服务奖是荣誉度最高的志愿者嘉奖计划，宗旨是通过总统嘉奖和国家认可鼓励公民服务社区。

通过美华协会申请总统志愿者服务奖，您需要满足至少百分之二十五（25％）的服务时间是在美华协会举办的活动中获得。一旦您满足所列要求，请点击此Google表单申请。请在2022年9月30日星期五下午4点前（东岸标准时间）提交。务必将您的义工证明附于Google申请表中。义工证明可以是社区服务组织负责人签名的证明也可以是负责人的电子邮件证明。

美华协会一旦确认您的申请，您将收到邀请函， 参加2022年11月在美华Chinese Community Center举办的志愿者感谢会。

美华协会总统奖规则

1. 申请人必须为美国公民或合法承认的美国永久居民
2. 服务时数须为此12个月的时间段(2021年10月1日至2022年9月30日)内方才有效
3. 此奖仅颁发给志愿服务，并且服务时数必须得到美华协会的批准
