This year featured two new special projects. With the help of art teacher, Miyi Li, campers and counselors worked together to create a 15-foot long Chinese landscape scroll painting that served as the back drop for our closing ceremony performance. Under the direction of local writer, Carlina Duan, we assembled a book featuring 10 short stories written by campers ranging from age 8-12. We also took field trips to Spicer Orchard for blueberry picking and the Ford Rouge Plant Tour. Special thanks to Pastor Rennie Kauffman, Karen Kauffman, and the Risen Christ Lutheran Church (where the camp was held) for their support!.
